A New Dawning

10:02 on Thursday the 9th November, 2006

9th November 2006, 0545 hrs local time, have just watched the sun rise over the Beagle Channel where the waters appear verz calm, pink hued clouds travel across a still darkened sky, the mountains being lit up like a light beam behing the hotel AND the dawn has finally arrived when we shall set sail on our tremendous expedition. Yesterday the members doing the traverse had to identify that all their equipment was here and last minute purchases made for the bits and pieces still desired. Only a few hours more and we shall be on board and I cannīt wait.

Our hotel is beautifully perched above Ushuaia, and we have a magnificent panoramic view from the restaurant. The latter being decorated in a deep rich red which is set off against the grey/white (snow) of the mountains and is very striking. The staff here are wonderful and look after our every need with a smile on their faces.

What will the voyage bring to each of us, how wil it affect us, what shall we experience, how will the traverse team get on, how will the going be, question upon question which which will have to remain unanswered until our return, for now all I wish us is Bon Voyage and a New Dawning in our lives whilst pursuing our dreams.
