I have a life long interest in the outdoors, wildlife with a keen interest in the Antartic and its Explorers for many years. I've trekked in Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Norway as well as Ireland. In fact I first met Pat on the top of Purple Mountain over a year ago! Having worked for 18 months in remote Queensland and Victoria, I am looking forward to the extreme conditions ahead.( At least slightly colder!) I work for myself as a family doctor in Coachford Medical Centre, Co.Cork. I would like to thank my wife, Bríd for her incredible support during this project.
