Cruise Information

This expedition runs from the 6th of November 2006, until the 1st of December 2006, check our "detailed itinerary":/transsouthgeorgia/expeditionitineray.php for more information (dates subject to minor changes). We will be sailing on the cruise ship "'Ushuaia'":/transsouthgeorgia/mvushuaia_decks.php, which can accommodate up to 66 passengers in 33 comfortable twin cabins.

There are a number of support places available on our voyage, for those wishing to participate. While at sea, the ship will have a schedule of events including lectures, whale, penguin and seal watching. Weather and sea conditions permitting, we will be landing on South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Antarctic continent.

Unlike most Antarctic expedition cruises, we will be chartering the entire vessel, so we determine the route to be taken.

There is no training required and the expedition cruise is suitable for most people wishing to have an adventurous historical trip without the hardships - but be warned, sea conditions may make this voyage uncomfortable. There will be a European doctor on board as well as additional facilities to make your voyage as pleasurable and memorable as possible.
